Fireweed is well known for it's bright vibrant pink stem and tall stalk. By late summer, the fireweed is in full bloom and grows so plentifully that is can cover a field, lawn or trail. This tall delicate flower can often be taller than people! It's bright pink and gets almost a deep red purple by summers end. This drawing of fireweed was created using lots of layers of squiggles and swirls to create the texture, lights, and shadows. Artwork by Alaska artist Abby VanCannon.
This piece can be acquired in 11x14, 8x10 or 5x7 prints. These standard sizes make them easy to frame. Also available as a 4 in vinyl sticker, and 4.5x5.5 inch blank greeting card.
Each pieces is printed in the USA on thick fine art paper with a subtle watercolor texture. Vibrant colors are achieved using a 7 dye based inkjet system and are certified archival quality. Each piece is packaged with a cardboard backing and cellophane plastic sleeve to ensure protection. They are assembled and packaged in house to ensure the quality of each print.
Each card is 4.5x5.5 and is blank inside. The cards are printed on 80 lb. plain light card stock allowing for vibrant full colors. It comes with either a white envelope or kraft envelope and is packaged in a plastic cellophane sleeve to ensure safety of each card. Each greeting card is packaged in house to ensure quality.
